2016 Hyundai Elantra Spied In Chennai, Shows Its Front And Rear Fascias
The 2016 Hyundai Elantra has once again been spied testing in Chennai. The new spyshots offer a closer look at the front and rear fascias of the next gen Elantra, while rest of the exterior is heavily camouflaged.

Available for sale in markets like the Middle East, North America and Korea, the sixth gen Hyundai Elantra features a more premium styling influenced by Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design philosophy. It features sleek projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, large hexagonal grille with chrome inserts, 16 inch alloy rims, LED taillights, shark fin antenna and parking sensors in the top grade.

The interior will appear to look familiar for people acquainted with the insides of models like the Hyundai i20, Sonata or the latest Hyundai Tucson. Along with a new design, Hyundai has also refined the quality of materials as well as increased the list of features available.

It gets new instrument dials flanking a bigger multi-info display, cruise control, a 7-or 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto-dimming IRVM, dual zone automatic climate control and start/stop button.

For the Indian market, the Hyundai Elantra is likely to be offered with a 1.6-litre MPi as its petrol option, while the diesel variant could pack the 1.6-litre VGT CRDi unit. Transmission options may include a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic, while a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic could be introduced in the top-end diesel variant.
