Toyota Motor has introduced a minor facelift and equipment upgrades to the 2017 Toyota Harrier, which will launch in the Japanese market this June. Bookings for the new Harrier will open in late April.

A leak of the staff manual has revealed the exterior changes, which are minor. It gets cosmetic changes such as a sleeker grille, repositioned fog lamps, new alloy rims design, and new LED-powered headlamps with sequential turn indicators.

Toyota has also made their Safety Sense P package as standard, which incorporates Vehicle Detection, Pedestrian Detection, Steering Assist Function, Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, and a Full-Speed Range Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Also new is a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, replacing the 8-inch unit.

Along with the option of a 3ZR-FAE 2.0-litre N/A engine mated to a Super CVT-i transmission and a 2AR-FXE 2.5-litre engine with electric four-wheel drive, Toyota will offer a new 2.0L turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD, reported to produce 151 PS and 231 Nm of torque.
