Toyota just took to the World Wide Web to announce the specifications of the Urban Cruiser for the United Kingdom. The new electric crossover, which premiered a couple of months ago, will be available locally in three trim levels with two battery packs.

The base Toyota model is called the Icon and features 18-inch alloy wheels, a pre-collision system, lane trace assist, road sign assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitor, reversing camera, and driver monitoring camera. This grade also gets 12-color ambient lighting, wireless smartphone integration, a 10.1-inch multimedia display, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, black fabric upholstery, and a 49 kWh battery pack.

Customers looking for a better-equipped trim level will be able to pick the 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser Design. This variant features all of the above and adds a wiper de-icer, auto-folding side mirrors with heating, air vents for the rear passengers, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel. The Excel tops the family and brings a panoramic view monitor, a wireless charging pad, a panoramic roof with manual sunshade, LED headlights, a bi-tone exterior paint finish, 19-inch wheels, part-synthetic leather upholstery, and a JBL premium sound system, as well as a larger battery pack with a 61 kWh capacity.

You are probably wondering about the price, and so are we. However, Toyota hasn't yet released it for the United Kingdom, where the new Urban Cruiser will celebrate its public debut at a dedicated presentation at the Westfield London shopping center in West London starting this week until March 2. The order books for this electric crossover will officially open this summer, with the first deliveries expected from the fourth quarter of the year.

Presented in December, the 2025 Toyota Urban Cruiser slots between the Yaris Cross and the C-HR in terms of size in the company's crossover family. Inspired by the Urban SUV Concept presented in 2023, the Urban Cruiser is the Suzuki e-Vitara's cousin and sets itself apart from it by featuring different front and rear fascias, with Toyota's familiar headlamp and taillight design. It's also the same on the inside, where it features the equipment mentioned above.

Built on an EV-dedicated platform, Toyota's Urban Cruiser is offered with a pair of powertrains. The entry-level model enjoys 142 horsepower (144 ps/106 kW), and the mid-range flavor is offered with 172 horsepower (174 ps/128 kW). Both of them come with front-wheel drive, and an all-wheel drive version will also join them, boasting superior oomph. This model has 182 horsepower (184 ps/135 kW). The FWD and AWD variants of the Toyota Urban Cruiser are available with a 61 kWh battery pack, whereas the FWD models feature a standard 49 kWh unit.
