Bentley’s New Limited-Edition GTs Take Inspiration From High Fashion

High-end fashion is something timeless; the couture world is often a symbol of success and outlandishly exclusive designs. The very wealthy people of the world seek out couture designs simply because exclusivity is bred by seasonal release. Once the line has been bought up, then it’s gone.

Bentley’s latest bespoke project is taking inspiration from that world and bringing it into the automotive one.

Bespoke Series By Muliner

The program is called the ‘Bespoke Series by Muliner’. Muliner is the department in charge of all the customized or commissioned cars of Bentley. This new program will see the brand release an annual lineup of “highly curated, limited-edition cars.” In fact, they openly admit that each release is formulated and designed to reflect the same desirability of a seasonal release by a luxury fashion house.

Its launch coincides with the brand’s newly opened and minted Paint Shop, which takes the paint process to a whole new level. The two models that will receive the bespoke series treatment are the Continental GT S and GT S Convertible. Bentley’s design studio will lead the development of these special models, where designers will analyze emerging cultural trends that will dictate the color options, materials, and final form of each model.

Season 1 of the bespoke series will feature only 100 cars, each with a similar specification regardless of what color the owner chooses. All 100 cars will come with 22” sports wheels with Mulliner self-leveling wheel badges, mood lighting, and the Bentley Rotating Display. Interiors feature dark chrome details, comfort seats, and a bespoke pattern for the seats and doors.

Six Colors

The main highlight of this collection is the availability of six newly crafted colorways. So that the new colors stand out, various exterior bits like the rims, mirrors, and grille are blacked out. Another central touch added to all cars will be a painted stripe in Beluga and Pearl effect that stretches the length of the car.

Each of the six bespoke series colors was developed in a different style, each with its own individuality. The six colors available are Salerno Blue, Snow Quartz/Arctic White, Midnight Prism Pearlescent, Spectral Verdant, Manuka Orange, and Bright Ruby Red.
