Brabus Double Trouble: Sinister 789-HP AMG G63s Revealed
Brabus is only building 10 examples each of these two custom SUVs.

Brabus is extremely familiar with tuning the Mercedes-Benz G-Class, and the German tuner shows off two new takes on the boxy SUV by debuting the Blacks Ops 800 on Sylt Island in Germany's North Sea and the Shadow 800 (pictured above) in Monaco. They are limited to just 10 examples each.

Both Brabus-tuned SUVs use the Mercedes-AMG G63 as a starting point and pack a tuned powertrain making 789 horsepower (588 kilowatts) and 738 pound-feet (1,000 Newton-meters) of torque. The extra power lets them get to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in 4.1 seconds and reach 149 mph (240 kph).

The Black Ops and Shadow both wear Brabus' Widestar widebody kit and 23-inch Platinum Edition forged wheels. The major differentiator between them is the color scheme.

The Black Ops 800 wears a gloss black exterior with a few, subtle red accents, like on two of the grille slats and one of the wheel spokes. On the inside, there's dark gray leather with red stitching and piping. Carbon fiber adorns the door panels and center console. The ten examples start at 275,055 euros ($308,499 at current exchange rates).

The Shadow 800 has a subtle, two-tone with Gunmetal Gray paint on the body and gloss black on areas like the fender flares. Carbon fiber is on the grille surround, hood scoop, around the LED light pods on the roof, wing, and center of the wheel carrier. The interior is more colorful than the Black Ops by using a mix of black, Light Shadow Gray, and red leather. The A-pillar has Alcantara upholstery, and there's carbon fiber trim around the cabin. The ten examples each cost 327,621 euros ($367,509).
