The Urban Cross in these images is the top-end Abarth variant, as seen by the 'Powered by Abarth' badges on the rear door and 'Scorpion' alloy wheels.
The Fiat Urban Cross was launched in India over the weekend, with deliveries set to begin from October 1.
The 1.4-liter T-Jet petrol engine produces 140 PS and 210 Nm of torque, while the 1.3-liter diesel develops 93 PS and 209 Nm of torque. Both variants are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission.
Features of the Fiat Urban Cross include a 5-inch Smartech touch-screen AVN (Audio, Video & Navigation) system, 16-inch alloy wheels, spoiler, rear AC vents, steering mounted audio controls, dual airbags and ABS with EBD. The Urban Cross features the same ground clearance as the Avventura at 205 mm, but hosts its spare wheel in the boot whereas the Avventura gets an external swing-type mechanism.
The Fiat Urban Cross rivals the Hyundai i20 Active, VW Cross Polo and Toyota Etios Cross.
