Shown recently at the China Import and Export Fair in the Guangdong province of China is the car you see here. A BMW Z4 painted gold and adorned with dragon parts. The doors have been converted to Lambo-style scissor doors, presumably to emphasize the wings that have been glued to them. The “dragon” itself is made up of thousands of individual tiles made from the bones of mountain yaks, a species indigenous to China.
The tiles making up the dragon scales have all been individually painted with a surprising level of detail. However, the most important question remains unanswered: why? Well, it certainly wasn’t done to improve performance. The significant amount of extra weight the car must now be carrying, along with the unpredictable new aerodynamics, must mean that the car is now comically horrible to drive. Whatever the reason, we’re impressed with the amount of time and energy that went into it, but we absolutely do not want one of our own.
