The Honda CBR250RR is the first bike in the segment with throttle by wire.

The Honda CBR250RR has been introduced in Japan and will be available for sale from 12 May 2017.

Powering the Honda CBR250RR is a 249 cc in-line twin cylinder, DOHC mill coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The fuel injected mill produces 38 PS of maximum power at 12,500 rpm and 23 Nm of peak torque at 11,000 rpm. The bike tips the scales at 165 kg while the WMTC fuel efficiency is a claimed 26.7 km/l.

In Indonesia where it is already on roads, the Honda CBR250RR has recorded a true top speed of 167.4 km/h. It gets three riding modes (Sport, Comfort and Sport+) and the bike is suspended over upside down forks up front and a monoshock in the rear. Brakes include a largest in class 310 mm front disc, whereas the rear gets a 240 mm disc. ABS is available as an option.

Honda Japan will be retailing the Honda CBR250RR in Matte Gun Powder Black Metallic, Sword Silver Metallic and Victory Red shades. The sales target has been established at 3,500 units in the first year.
