Hyundai AH2 (Hyundai Santro) spied in South Korea
The Hyundai AH2 is being tested in not only India but also South Korea, spy shots posted on Bobaedream have revealed.

Hyundai's South Korean team had a hand in the Eon and i10's development and testing, and they appear to be working on the AH2 as well.

The Hyundai AH2 is said to revive the iconic Hyundai Santro nameplate. The car's test mules are heavily camouflaged, but it's clear that it features a tallboy design, sweptback headlamps, and Cascading grille - Hyundai's latest design signature. The overall shape is quite reminiscent of the previous generation Hyundai i10. Inside, the car could share a lot of components with the Hyundai Grand i10.

The Hyundai AH2 will be underpinned by the previous generation Hyundai i10's HA platform. Hyundai will use this platform instead of the Hyundai Eon's PA platform to futureproof the car for stricter crash test norms. The company could offer the new model with an updated version of the 1.0-litre Epsilon four-cylinder petrol engine. A 5-speed manual transmission will be standard, but an AMT option will be offered - a first for a Hyundai.
