It was back in November that we reported on Kawasaki developing a new supercharged motorcycle engine, and now it appears to be ready to make its debut.

The bike in question is apparently called the Ninja H2, and it would ostensibly be Kawasaki's flagship superbike – a place currently taken by the Ninja ZX-14R with its 1.4-liter inline-four and Ferrari Testarossa styling. The supercharged engine in the Ninja H2 is also expected to pack four cylinders, and though we don't know how much they will displace, word has it the engine is based on 636cc engine in the ZX-6R but with competence borrowed from the company's aerospace and turbine divisions to blow the mirrors off heavier liter bikes.

Kawasaki is keeping the details pretty well guarded, but it has confirmed that the new H2 will debut at the Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany, on September 30. In the meantime you can watch the pair of teaser clips for a taste of what's to come.
