It seems Honda is not only testing the 2017 Honda Jazz in Brazil but Japan also appears to have the test car on its roads. In both markets, the Jazz is sold as the Honda Fit and is made locally.

Although most of the cosmetic changes are under wraps, it seems to be identical to the Brazilian test mule. For starters, the most noticeable are the new Solid Wing Face grille, which is now upright and has a bolder chrome bar like the new City. They are flanked by headlamps that could feature LED illumination and DRLs in top-end grades.

Also noticeable is the new front bumper, which extends out further and has new intakes for a sportier look. The rear-end is covered up, suggesting more cosmetic changes in tow. The taillamps look identical to the current Jazz, while the bumper has been restyled.

In the Japanese market, the new Honda Jazz could continue with the current engine lineup, which includes a 1.3-liter Atkinson cycle engine, 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine, and a 1.5-liter Atkinson petrol hybrid powertrain. The first engine options can be had with a manual transmission or a CVT unit, while the Hybrid variant is equipped with a 7-speed DCT automatic. There also rumours of the facelifted Jazz getting the 1.0L Turbo VTEC engine as an option.
