Noise Pollution: 72 Bikers Fined in a Weekend

String operation this weekend. Police Environment has developed 72 tickets for motorcyclists who had modified exhaust their pots. They were fined Rs 10,000. And 19 motorists were fined because they were driving polluting vehicles. According to the police raids in several parts of the island will be more frequent. 

The police of the Environment is also on the lookout for the businesses that flout the law on noise pollution. Not later than the weekend before, three fines ranging between Rs 50,000 and Rs 100,000 were imposed on individuals and a restaurant for noise pollution. According to a police officer of the Environment, "there have been too many complaints registered" . This is also in the sense that this unit, in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism has decided to take the bull by the horns.
