Soobeeraj Allock states in his written complaint by Mr. Manon Mardemootoo, Senior Attorney, he owns a vessel and he holds a license to organize excursions since 2000. His "pleasure craft license" is issued by the Tourism Authority.
He claims to have sold his boat in March 2012. He subsequently made a request from the Tourism Authority to obtain a "permitted transfer" as he had completed the acquisition of a new boat.
Soobeeraj Allock says you have completed all the formalities relating to the renewal of its operating license since July 2012. But the Tourism Authority has not issued the necessary documents to date so that it can resume its business activities. " Plaintiff avers that he has completed all formalities to obtain the renewal of his license but the defendant has up to now failed to issue the above-named party with the license" Soobeeraj Allock highlighted in its complaint.
The complainant believes that the unreasonable delay caused by the Tourism Authority has caused him harm and a loss he estimated at Rs 1.1 M. It also calls for any lost revenue might incur until the Supreme Court delivers a judgment.
Soobeeraj Allock also asked the Supreme Court to issue an order for the Tourism Authority renewed its operating license. The case will be called on May 9 the Supreme Court.
