Toyota C-HR Compact SUV Spotted In The Wild In Germany
Ahead of its European launch, which is expected to take place towards the end of this year, the Toyota C-HR compact SUV was spied on the roads of Darmstadt, Germany.

Snapped in a Silver shade, the Toyota logo has been covered up, and there are no variant badges, making it impossible to determine the engine it is using.

Toyota will offer the C-HR with a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, and the Prius-sourced hybrid powertrain paired exclusively to a CVT. The 1.2-liter turbo-petrol will come with options of a 6-speed manual or CVT, and 2WD and 4WD layouts. The hybrid powertrain uses a 1.8-liter petrol engine with electric assistance and should be good for 122 PS. For select markets, the C-HR will also offer a 2.0-liter petrol unit with a CVT.

The Toyota C-HR is based on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) architecture, the second product to use this platform after the Prius. It will be manufactured at the Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey (TMMT) plant in Sakarya, Turkey, while the hybrid engine will be manufactured at Toyota Motor Manufacturing UK’s engine plant in Deeside, Wales.
