For the Indian market, the Hiace will be aimed at tour operators as it would need a commercial vehicle registration.
Power for the Hiace would come from a 3.0-liter four-cylinder diesel engine – borrowed from the Fortuner – developing 136 PS and 300 Nm of torque, paired to a 4-speed transmission.
Power-sliding doors, a 6-speaker audio system and a reverse parking camera are some of the features that will be seen on the Hiace. Safety features on the Hilux will include dual front airbags and ABS.
