Video: In 100 Seconds, Ford Takes You Through 100 Years Of The Moving Assembly Line
In 1908, Henry Ford introduced the Model T, which took over 12 hours to build. The production moved on to an assembly line on October 7th 1913 at the Highland Park Assembly Plant. Its been exactly 100 years since Ford introduced the moving assembly line and this video takes you through that history in 100 seconds.

The 1913 assembly line was 150ft long could build a Model T within 3 hours. By 1918, half of all cars on the roads are Ford Model Ts and by 1927, Ford had produced its 15 millionth Model T.

So how many brand-new Fords roll out of an assembly plant these days? That would be 16 cars every 60 seconds across the world!
