Ministry of transport repeals rules about speedometer
Motorcyclists can have a respite since the Ministry of Land Transport has decided to reconsider the rules about speedometers.

The ministry intends to suspend the law which specifies that all motorcycles and mopeds should have a speedometer mandatory.

“The ministry noted that there are currently no speedometers on the market and the National Transport Authority (NTA) is receiving too many complaints,” said a senior officer of the ministry, adding, “The ministry intends to suspend the law and developments are expected on this subject.”

Speedometers for motorcycles like Motobecane, Mini Honda, Daelim and Panther are not available locally.
