The new DS 4 will launch in the UK in November with six engine options.
Both the DS 4 and DS 4 Crossback feature the company’s bold styling characterized by the vertical grille with the ‘DS Wings’ signature, DS LED Vision headlamps, and a simple lower fascia design with round foglamps. At the side, both versions feature a chrome accent running around windows, and a sloping roofline that smoothly ends at the spoiler. The Crossback variant gets distinctive roof rails, a different front grille treatment, large black wheels, black wheel arch extensions and a 30 mm increase in ride height.
Inside, the DS 4 and DS 4 Crossback feature a new 7-inch colour touchscreen with an updated infotainment system. DS claims that most of the interior functions are integrated into the software, thereby reducing the button count by 12 on the center console. The DS 4 is the first model in DS to offer Apple CarPlay connectivity, and also comes with a new Mirror Screen technology that duplicates Android or iOS smartphone content on the in-car screen.
Under the hood, the engine range is completely turbocharged. It will offer the award-winning three-cylinder 1.2-litre unit that produces 128 bhp which is capable of returning 55 mpg with CO2 emissions of 119g/km. DS will also offer two THP engines, producing 165 hp and 210 hp.
The 1.6-liter BlueHDi diesel engine will be available in three power states: 118 bhp/300Nm, 148 bhp/370 Nm and 178 bhp/400 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
