2017 Honda Jazz (2017 Honda Fit) teased in Japan
Honda has subtly confirmed the arrival of the 2017 Honda Jazz (2017 Honda Fit) in Japan. The company has released a teaser image of the facelifted model in a promotional print material.

The teaser gives only a glimpse of the new Honda Jazz's front, but leaked images have done the job of revealing the exterior almost entirely. Designers have refreshed the front fascia with the grille now positioned higher up, new headlamp graphics and a restyled bumper. The profile may not see any other changes than new design wheels. At the rear, the new model gets a sportier tailgate spoiler, tweaked tail lamp cluster and restyled bumper.

On the inside, the 2017 Honda Jazz could feature new trim and upholstery, not to forget revised instrument cluster and a new infotainment system. The Indian-spec version could get the 7.0-inch DIGIPAD touchscreen infotainment system and an engine-push start/stop button. The mid-cycle update will bring the Honda Sensing suite of driver-assistive technologies, including Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Collision Mitigation Braking System, to the JDM-spec version.

The Honda Jazz was said to get a new 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with the introduction of the facelift, but leaked scans of the variant walk confirms no such plans. The current range of i-VTEC petrol and i-DTEC diesel engines would continue powering the car, with Japan getting the option of a hybrid.

Honda has shot the TVC of the new Jazz in Malaysia, and all evidence points to an imminent rollout of the car in Asia.
