Bentley is Planning More Than Just a New SUV
Time to go into expansion mode.

Bentley is currently at work developing its anticipated SUV, which is expected to debut in the near future. Aside from that and the rest of the existing lineup, which consists of just three models (four if you include both the Continental GT Coupe and Convertible), the UK-based uber luxury brand wants to expand things even further. Over the past few weeks, we’ve been hearing about the potential for an entry-level Bentley slotted below the Continental GT, as well as an even more hardcore version of the Continental GT3-R.

And now we’re hearing that there are potentially two more new models in the pipeline. CEO Wolfgang Durheimer told Autocar that his company is considering both a two-seat sports car and a more conventional model priced between the Continental and Mulsanne. The latter could also be a convertible. If it were up to him, Bentley would build them both, but a business case needs to be made first. The two-seat sports car he’s referring to could also be the same thing as that entry-level model. Nothing is official just yet, but Bentley does plan on spending at least "800 million pounds between now and 2016 on new model development."
