It’ll be built on the same platform as the next-generation Audi Q7, Volkswagen Touareg, and Porsche Cayenne. (It’s great to be a part of the VW Group). Anyway, in order for it to stand out from the pack, Bentley has promised that it’ll be the world’s fastest production SUV with a top speed of 320 km/h.
This is a very big deal for Bentley as the uber luxury brand has been experiencing record sales lately and is determined to continue that trend. Launching an SUV of this caliber is an ideal way to do so. No specifics have been announced just yet, but here’s another thing to remember: the upcoming Lamborghini SUV will share this platform as well. Does anyone really believe that Lamborghini is going to let Bentley take and keep the crown for this segment? Could there be something of a VW Group civil war in the making? We’re beyond anxious to find out.
