BMW 2002 Owner Likes 'Em Thick
This isn't your typical BMW 2002. Its owner/seller has turned it into a street rod powered by a Mustang V8.

We’ve always loved the BMW 2002, one of the all-time greats from the German automaker. The car has quite a fan base and most of the time owners prefer to keep them stock or with slight modifications. But not this 2002 owner who turned his car into a wide body street rod. Some will like it; others not so much. However, aside from the fiberglass bodywork and olive green paint job, the biggest changes were made underneath.

The car was built on a Cobra tubular chassis and is powered by a 5.0-liter Mustang V8 that’s been paired to a five-speed manual. What's not to like about that?

The engine was mounted behind the front axle, effectively making it a mid-engined car. Needless to say, the car produces a lot of horsepower and torque and even has power steering and brakes along with a host of mechanical enhancements. The seller just put it up for sale on eBay but there weren’t any takers, kind of odd considering the popularity of 2002s and Mustang V8s. Still, this is really something unique and it's still registered as a 1969 BMW 2002.
