Boycott Israeli products: Lalit will campaign against Caterpillar in Mauritius
The leftist political party Lalit decided to campaign against the company Scomat Ltd. Group Ireland Blyth Ltd (IBL).It represents Caterpillar for over 80 years in Mauritius.

However, vehicles and other machines of this brand are widely used to destroy Palestinian homes.

In two weeks the eyes will be on the United Nations (UN). Indeed, September 20, Palestine should be determined on his fate, and whether it will finally join the prestigious organization, which would allow it to finally be recognized as a state in itself. In Mauritius, the leftist political party Lalit is very interested in the situation in Palestine and decided to campaign against the group Ireland Blyth Ltd (IBL) which, through its affiliates, including Scomat Ltd., imports from more than 80 years of Caterpillar (CAT).

"The construction machinery branded CAT do much harm to our Palestinian brothers and sisters because the Israeli army uses these machines to destroy their homes, or to erect barriers to prevent them from crossing," said Alain Ah -Vee, a spokesman for Lalit. He was speaking at a forum held Tuesday, September 6 Razack Mohamed center in Phoenix.

Alain Ahvee said Lalit has already sent a letter to the leadership of IBL in this regard, earlier this year, "asking them to cease to represent the brand," but this letter would have remained unanswered until now , he deplores. Lalit has decided to conduct a national campaign against the CAT brand. The representative of the party goes further by emphasizing that they require « Mauritians also a good look at the products they consume and if they come from Israel, to stop buying them. "

During the evening, various speakers shared their views on the situation in Palestine. Among the former president Cassam Uteem, social workers Ally Lazer, Imran Dhanoo, among others. They have however expressed pessimism regarding the situation in Palestine and explained that the support Israel receives from large nations like the United States shows that the Palestinian cause is far from certain .

"Israeli leaders have clearly demonstrated over the years that they have no intention to negotiate. The only way to make them understand that we are against them is to boycott all the products they export, "said Cassam Uteem.

The former president also lamented the lack of unity within the Arab community. "It's sad that some Arab countries consume Israeli products is inconceivable," he said.
