Breathtaking BMW K 100 Bayer Excels in Cosmetics and Performance Alike
In the custom bike world, there’s hardly anyone more qualified to work their magic on an old-school BMW than Incerum Customs.

The Croatian shop is run by Antonio Ferhatovic, and this won’t be the first time we bring up their projects here on autoevolution. Incerum is one of those firms whose work you simply cannot ignore, because they manage to knock each and every build straight out of the ballpark.

The rad Beemer shown above didn’t come as a commission from a client, but was instead pieced together for the workshop’s chief mechanic. He sought a fun and dependable ride suitable for both the street and the racetrack, selecting a BMW K 100 to act as the starting point. Once the donor had been taken apart, the crew’s attention moved to the framework before anything else.

Antonio and his teammates cleaned up the main section of the frame, while replacing the rear subframe with a much shorter alternative developed in-house. The entire skeleton was then cloaked in a layer of matte-black powder coating, just like the swingarm, fork lowers, and engine covers. Moving on to the bodywork, Incerum kept none of the original items aside from the fuel tank.

Minimalism is the name of the game for the updated attire, with a small tail section now located at the back. It incorporates the repurposed taillight of a BMW K 1200 RS, but the license plate will henceforth live down low on a swingarm-mounted bracket. The motorcycle’s front end is also dressed to impress, featuring an aftermarket twin-headlight arrangement originally made for the R 1250 GS.

Lower down, we find a handmade fender just large enough to properly serve its purpose. The space between the fuel tank and tail is filled with a slim saddle wrapped in black Alcantara, and an array of perforated metal add-ons can be found throughout the bike. Up in the cockpit area, there is an aftermarket handlebar equipped with Motogadget grips and bar-end turn signals.

It wears a single rear-view mirror on the left-hand side, as well, and the cockpit hardware is neatly finished off with a single round dial. The K 100’s suspension has also been subjected to a complete overhaul, with the front forks rebuilt and the rear shock replaced by a modern unit. Incerum’s makeover also made its presence felt in the unsprung sector with thoroughly refurbished brakes.

On the powertrain side of things, the inline-four engine was subjected to a once-over and then fitted with a custom exhaust system. New coolant plumbing and a tailor-made overflow canister were thrown into the mix, too, while the ergonomics have been finished off with CNC-machined rearsets. Finally, a gorgeous white and blue color scheme adorns the creature’s bodywork, with the latter hue also appearing on the wheels and left engine cover.
