Bus Driver Nailed For Manicure
A Singapore bus driver has been fired for giving himself a manicure while driving on a freeway.

A video, apparently taken by a passenger, shows the driver resting his left hand on the wheel while trimming his nails. He then momentarily lifts his left hand from the steering wheel as well to examine his trimmed fingernails… he might be negligent but at least he’s thorough.

The bus was travelling from Singapore's Changi airport to the city's northern suburbs. It’s not clear how fast, though.

'HE WAS DISMISSED'

A spokesman for state-linked transport operator SMRT said: "We've investigated the incident and taken appropriate disciplinary action against the bus captain. He was immediately dismissed.

"We would like to stress that passenger safety is our priority and our bus captains are constantly reminded and encouraged to observe safe driving habits."

He refused to name the man.

In January 2013 the SMRT fired a bus driver who was caught watching an animated film on his iPad while driving.
