The world’s first hot lap without a driver. Audi teased us with a new concept a short while ago, and in an uncharacteristic move, actually said what it was, what it did and even what it looked like.
That’s how we know that the “Piloted Driving Concept” was a weirdly inappropriate name, given that the whole point of the car is that it is not piloted by a human. A piloted driving concept should just be a regular car. But we digress, the modified RS7 race car was recently taken for a hop lap of Hockenheim.
The autonomous car performed admirably, in a manner which might surprise some. Check it out.
