Fast and Fabulous Sales: Over 300 Sales and 100 Bookings
The dealer Iframac has marked the history of car sales in Mauritius. Especially after the proposed 'last hour discount' of Rs 25,000 on all its cars!

The event, Fast and Fabulous Sales, saw over 300 cars sold in three days and 100 bookings received more than 10,000 visitors. The company unveiled a symbolic sculpture, the 'Horse Power'.

The latest sell-off of Iframac was seven years ago. Fast and Fabulous Sales is the largest automotive flea market held in Mauritius. "It exceeded our expectations. Never thought we'd do the same sensation. Iframac confirms its leading position, "said Javed Bolah, communications director of the group.

The rummage sale, open from Friday 20th to Sunday, July 22, has brought joy to many compatriots. European women have won, especially Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot offered at a discount ranging between Rs 25,000 and Rs 1 million.

"There was a shortage of Peugeot 508 and 3008. We had to negotiate with the parent company in France, for it provides us with a fifty models which will be delivered by end of 2012, "adds the director of communications.

As for japanese, it's the Mitsubishi that was the core of envy: GLX models, EX and ASX have found interested, for both automatic (available at Rs 1.5 million instead of Rs 2.2 million) and the manual (to Rs1, 1M instead of Rs 1.5 million) and offered with discounts ranging between Rs 50,000 and Rs 200,000.

Some 300 vehicles (or 107 models) were exposed: Mercedes-Benz, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Peugeot, Dodge, Chery, Foton, Fuso, Case, Cummins. Including Chery, Chinese-made, Harley-Davidson motorcycles and boats Legends. "We wanted to show a One-Stop Shop. This was achieved through a coordinated work superbly. This has not been easy. Were expected to receive 3,000 visitors, not three times, "said Brian Burns, CEO of Iframac.

Iframac has used the event to launch two British brands: MG 6 GT, sold at Rs 1.3 million and Maxus V80, a 16-seater minibus, showing Rs 1.2 M. The Horse Power symbolic work performed with car parts during the show by the artist Lutchmun Krish, will be exhibited at the gallery Iframac, Castel.
