Final version of F1 2017 calendar released
Azerbaijan GP will be moved a week later so that it won't clash with Le Mans.

The new Formula 1 2017 calendar, approved at the World Motor Sport Council in Vienna, features a new date for the Grand Prix in Baku, which has been moved to avoid a clash with the Le Mans 24 Hours.

Baku's debut grand prix this year took place on the same weekend as the 84th edition of the Le Mans event, and Azerbaijani organisers were keen to avoid a similar clash for 2017.

But while the initial drafts of the F1 2017 calendar placed the Azerbaijan race on the June 17-18 weekend, overlapping with Le Mans yet again, the Baku event has now been moved to a week later.

The two events that follow Baku - the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring and the British Grand Prix at Silverstone - have also been moved a week back from their original scheduled dates. The latter now clashes with the New York Formula E event as a result.

The calendar formalises the German race being dropped and Singapore switching with Malaysia - and loses the "subject to confirmation tag" for Canada and Brazil.

It also confirms Mexico being moved a week back and Hungary a week forward.
