Former minister covets race car
Jean Suzanne’s Aston Martin, which was seized by Barclays Leasing following the settlement of Infinity BPO, is highly coveted by a former Labour Party minister and a businessman working for the British American Investment.

The two protagonists are battling for Suzanne’s Aston Martin V8 Vantage, a British-made sports car equipped with a 4.2 litre V8 engine.

The V8 Vantage can accelerate to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds topping out at 282 km/h.

The former minister offered a bid of Rs 6 million and was outbidded only 24 hours later by his rival with an offer of Rs 8 million.

According to Barclays Leasing, the car will be sold once all legal procedures are completed.

Barclays leasing will take Rs 3 million from the sale , which represents unpaid debts.

The rest will be used to pay remaining debts contracted by the former call centre, which amounts to Rs 100 million.

Ex-employees of Infinity BPO expect to receive their unpaid salaries for the period between November 2010 and January 2011 on June 15 from the money received after auctioning furniture and equipment belonging to the former call centre.

However, an additional Rs 400,000 is required to totally reimburse all the employees.

The former call centre’s liquidator Roger Boodna and legal representative Thierry Koenig are doing everything possible to raise money to reimburse all creditors.
