Designer David Gawthorpe spent two years turning the front end of a Mini into a multi-function console. Not only can you watch films, listen to music and play Xbox and PS3, this adapted Mini will also give you a kick up the backside when things get really exciting.
It also boasts a remote controlled smoke machine, a small fridge at the back, iPod dock and headphones. Then there’s the 500-watt amplifier, strobes and lasers.
Mr Gawthorpe, 37, from Lower Hopton, West Yorkshire, said: ‘It’s a theatre-movie chair, a gaming chair, a workstation and a music centre. It would interact well plugged into a large TV for watching films. If you are watching Saving Private Ryan it has a vibration pad called the “Butt Kicker” that reacts to bullet sounds.’
There is one difficulty. This device costs $13000 - so you could just buy a decent second hand version of the car and drive to the multiplex.
