The Department of Information Technology and Communication, the Road Safety Management Unit of the Prime Minister's Office and the police will implement the Third Eye Project. That in order to increase surveillance on the roads and promote responsible driving.
Under this project, the police use mobile technology, including smart phones equipped with specialized software, to record snapshots of violation of traffic regulations. This evidence will be transferred to a central server for eventual transmission to the police for necessary actions. Thus, those who choose to pass other vehicles in an unsafe manner of red lights and ignore the crosswalks, among others, will not escape punishment.
