In four months, from 1 July, all vehicles must be equipped with a white plate on the front and yellow and another in the back. Ben Buntipilly, adviser to the Prime Minister for Road Safety says that these plates are special. "Obviously these are special plates that we introduce to facilitate the work of the police," he said. These plates are more visible at night by police and especially by radar.
According to a source familiar with the matter, a committee will be established to decide on suppliers and prices of these plates. More than 370,000 vehicles will have to change plates in four months. Around 740 000 plates will be manufactured. The authorities that accelerate procedures will avoid further delay of the entry into force this regulation.
