This Mansory Linea d’Oro, atelier special edition takes a standard Rolls-Royce Wraith and adds a healthy dash of gold detailing, both inside and out, to create what many of us would call 'extravagant' but which the Brand, Germany-based, luxury car modifier refers to as an "extraordinary treatment." And yes, you needn’t ask, that is real gold leaf that’s been used for the accenting.
As we have come to expect from Mansory, elements like the 24-inch FD.15 Black Diamond wheels, the front grille, the door handles, the taillight housing, and the RR logos down the flanks have all been finished in gold. Even the Spirit of Ecstasy and her flowing robes haven’t escaped the Midas treatment.
In an interesting touch, the accenting with real gold lead speckles has been used across the hood, the rocker panels, the front splitter, the air intake surrounds, the rear diffuser panel, the window surrounds, and the two rear lip spoilers.
The speckle design continues in the cabin, as the gold leaf flourishes adorn the dashboard, the center console - possibly a nod to Rolls-Royce’s famous Starlight headlining, which is also included - and is used sparingly across the steering wheel, the door upholstery, and even the pedals. Again, though, on the off chance one feels the tuner has gone too subtle, Mansory has also included gold piping across the new, black leather (fluted) seats and floor mats, and gone all-in with gold door handles and speaker grilles.
There’s no mention of any performance upgrades, though another recent Mansory-fied Rolls-Royce - the Linea D’Oro Cullinan - boasted a sports rear silencer and a brand-new engine management system, the latter of which ups the output from 571 horsepower to 610 hp, and 627 lb-ft of torque to just over 700 lb-ft. It’s not inconceivable, thenm that the original 624-hp and 605-lb-ft outlay from the Wraith’s twin-turbo V12 could be enhanced.
By the way, if that ‘Linea D’Oro’ name rings a bell, Mansory originally utilized it for a one-off carbon Bugatti Veyron a few years ago, and later revived the bespoke line for the aforementioned Cullinan and a customized version of the Wraith’s replacement, the Spectre.
In traditional 'if you need to ask, you probably can’t afford it' Rolls-Royce fashion, Mansory has not revealed a price for the Linea d’Oro Wraith, although a previous Holmman International example of the Wraith from Mansory was available for close to half a million dollars.
