Indonesia is the first market outside India to get the sub-4m SUV, which will be manufactured and exported by Maruti Suzuki.
As the spec sheet confirms, the Vitara Brezza is powered by the 1.3L DDiS turbodiesel engine, which produces 90 PS and 200 Nm of torque in the India-spec model. While a 5-speed manual gearbox is standard, an automatic transmission is also available as an option. Even the India-spec Maruti Vitara Brezza is not offered with an automatic gearbox.
Details on the automatic variant are scarce. It's likely to be the 1.3 DDiS + 5-speed AGS (AMT) combo that is only offered in the Maruti Swift Dzire in India. So far, only a diesel variant of the Vitara Brezza is confirmed for the Indonesian market, despite the popularity of petrol-powered cars in the archipelago.
The Suzuki Vitara Brezza will join the bigger but older Suzuki Grand Vitara in Suzuki's SUV lineup, and rival compact SUVs like the Ford EcoSport, Toyota Rush and Chevrolet Trax.
