The seventh-generation Mitsubishi Colt is well past due for a replacement, and at the Geneva Auto Show we can what's expected to form Japan car maker next B-segment player.

As we told previously, Global Small Concept is being developed for worldwide consumption so that reflected at its name and design not in a best way. The car spans a squat 373 cm and a relatively narrow 168 cm wide, with power provided by a three-cylinder MIVEC gasoline engine. When the official production model debuts early next year, 1.0- and 1.2-liter three-pots will be available, along with start-stop tech and regenerative braking. And with a car this small, it's all but assured that Mitsubishi will take some of the lessons learned from its i-MiEV project to produce an all-electric model.
