Moto Guzzi Begins Selling Bigger, Stronger California Cruiser Bike
Italian motorcycle maker Moto Guzzi is rolling out a redesigned version of its long-running cruiser bike called the California 1400. The new motorcycle has a larger engine and new styling meant to help it compete with other muscular and prestigious “power cruisers” from makes including Harley-Davidson and Ducati.

The company is asking licensed riders to visit dealerships and test-ride the 1400 Custom. The bike also comes in a Touring model designed for traveling longer distances. By visiting the Moto Guzzi website, prospective customers can complete a test ride online appointment request and locate a dealer.

Moto Guzzi builds the California 1400 at its factory in Mandello del Lario, Italy, where the company has been making motorcycles since 1921. The brand first gained recognition in the U.S through an exclusive deal to supply motorcycles for the Los Angeles Police Department and California Highway Patrol more than 40 years ago.
