The police have lifted the curtain on a network of fuel theft on the bulldozers responsible for removing rocks from fields in the East. A bus owner has been arrested and his vehicle seized for unlawful possession.

The CID-Military District has struck a great blow. With the help of the Private Investigators Authority Ltd., it is preparing to disclose a network of thieves and receivers of stolen fuel raging for months in the Eastern Region.

Inspector Hemant Lollman Dharamsing Hossanee and team have discovered that a portion of the fuel, worth Rs 800,000, siphoned tanks and bulldozers of the Sugar Planters Mechanical Pool Corporation (SPMPC) in fields Quartier Militaire from in Flacq, was bought by an owner of the bus.

Seebarun Rajesh was arrested Wednesday and detained after the containers had been found in a cane field at Camp Thorel, and has been confused by its employees, the receiver and the driver of the bus.

The whole “business” began in September 2010. Several cases of theft were reported by SPMPC. Almost all of his bulldozers sent to the rocking of the cane fields at Camp Thorel Flacq White Mountain and Providence have been siphoned off. It appears that thieves were using tanks directly at the end of the weekend, when guards returned home or went to shop for supplies.

In February, a man named Valiama Rengasamy has been arrested. On Wednesday, the CID Headquarters-Military finally discovered the containers used to store diesel fuel in a field near the home of Rajesh Seebarun. His bus was taken to the station and emptied its fuel tank as the diesel used by SPMPC contains a special pigment, which was put there because of theft.

Police and Private Investigators Authority Ltd. has established that it was the SPMPC the diesel that was used for the Seebarun Rajesh bus, the driver and receiver have been questioned after the vehicle had been seized. They say they have never been full, that task fell to their boss and they have also seen him do with plastic containers.

Asked in turn, Rajesh Seebarun denounced the driver of the tanker to refuel SPMPC charged bulldozers in the Eastern Region. These Harrischand Tribhowon says Vicky, a resident of Petit Raffray. This was presented at the CID Headquarters-Military with his lawyer.

Although the Seebarun Rajesh has confused and said he had bought fuel-third of current prices, or Rs 3 500 to 200 liters of diesel was paroled.

Investigators must now go up the chain and demonstrate the role of Vicky Tribhowon in this case. The fact it was supplying its customers with its tanker could prove that there never was but flight diversion.
