NTC Monopoly On some Roads Broken
The NTC has decided to end its monopoly on lines 6, 27 and 141. It will turn to other operators for routes Souillac, Curepipe, Riviere du Rempart - Port Louis and Vacoas - Port Louis.

This is a decision "temporary" , taking the time "so the NTC head of water" , let there be heard in the National Transport Authority (NTA). This decision is the decision by the National Transport Company (NTC) to be " helped "by other operators. These are three lines which will serve as the company had previously monopoly. This decision involves three routes: the 6, the 27 and the 141 for connecting roads Souillac Curepipe, Riviere du Rempart in Port Louis and the Vacoas to Port Louis.

But employees, especially those working on the line 27, is in doubt. They fear that this decision is final. This, according to them, would lead to the closing of the filing of the NTC in Rivière du Rempart. The problem is that this line " is the most profitable out there , "says Mr. Ravi Rutnah, legal counsel employees.

Moreover, this decision was made " without any consultation and without an open record of the NTA , "said Ravi Rutnah. Employees do not preclude the possibility of submitting an order and question the legality of that decision through a Judicial Review .

They have expressed their discontent Wednesday, June 19 at a meeting in Rivière du Rempart. On this occasion, they even invited the minister, Anil Bachoo, to hear their grievances. But he did not respond to the invitation.
