65 new buses of the National Transport Corporation (NTC) on our roads by next March. It is in this context that the CNT plans to launch in the coming days, a local tender for the purchase of these new buses. Asked by The Early Bird Monday, a senior official of the NTC said that the budget for the purchase of these 65 buses should be less than Rs 200 million.

Asked for a reaction , Alain Kistnen the Bus Industry Union of Workers ( UBIW ) condemned the aggression of employees of the NTC and demanded an investigation . Through a statement issued by the UBIW he warned the authorities against any attempt to ' cover- up' in the investigation. In addition, Alain Kistnen lamented that since the rising price of bus ticket, some members of the public have a negative attitude towards employees of the NTC.
