Orlando Bloom is the new face of Porsche Design. The Hollywood A-lister shows up in a photo gallery in the company of a 1972 Porsche 911 model, wearing the Cronograph 1 timepiece and the P'8478 eyewear.

"Speed wins races. Time creates legends," Porsche says after signing Orlando Bloom as the new Brand Ambassador for the firm's Timepiece and Eyewear collections. The 48-year-old actor stars in a photo gallery that shows him in the company of a classic Porsche, wearing the Switzerland-made Chronograph 1 - All Black Numbered Edition.

Seven selected models of the brand's sunglasses and prescription eyewear from the 2025 Porsche Design Eyewear Collection will also appear alongside Orlando Bloom in the campaign. Cars and watches are two of Orlando Bloom's passions.

The Hollywood VIP claims he has always been the biggest fan of Porsche. "As a young, very visible actor in Hollywood, I was given a lot of cars to drive. But I ended up buying a black and tan 1973 911 S. It was and still is immaculate – and it's still in my garage," he says. He was actually driving that Porsche when he got a speed ticket back in 2019.

With a reputation for being stylish without going overboard, Orlando Bloom admits to being a long-time Porsche enthusiast, which puts him in the right place for the partnership. He says he was excited about it from the very first conversation as he sensed that they share a mutual passion for great design and a similar mindset.

Meanwhile, Porsche sees Orlando Bloom as the perfect match for the Porsche Design brand: "He truly embodies our lifestyle, as well as our shared values of authenticity, style, and a passion for perfection," they claim. Proud to have Orlando Bloom on the team, Porsche is counting on him to raise Porsche Design's global awareness and positive perception around the globe.

The 1972 Porsche 911 was originally designed by Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, while the Chronograph 1—All Black Numbered Edition was inspired by the iconic Chronograph I, also designed by the man himself. Mimicking the dashboard of the 911, the all-black chronograph was completely re-engineered in 2022, before being reissued by Porsche Design.

In pure Porsche Design Timepieces fashion, it is crafted entirely by hand in Porsche's watch manufactory in Solothurn, Switzerland, where experts have a tough mission: to fuse excellence in automotive engineering with the art of Swiss watchmaking.

Bloom also wears the Porsche Design P'8478, the first-ever sunglass model to feature an innovative interchangeable lens system. The quick-release mechanism allows the teardrop-shaped six-base curve lenses, available in various colors, to be swapped easily. The P'8478 is made from extremely lightweight titanium and scratch-proof, virtually unbreakable polycarbonate.

The automaker reveals the campaign visuals in the brand's signature colors of black and red, which highlights the sporty silhouette of the legendary 1972 Porsche 911.
