MINI introduced the Paceman Concept as the next model in their line-up. MINI is describing their new Paceman Concept as a crossover coupe. This, according to the company, would be the first in the premium small car segment. It will be launched in 2012.

The Paceman design study is the first crossover coupe in the premium small car segment. It is based on the same platform as the MINI Countryman, and combines an athletic, masculine coupé appearance with the dimensions of the MINI Countryman.

The Paceman concept featured a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 155 kW (211 PS / 208 hp) and 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. However, like the Countryman, the production model will offer a variety of engines as well as front- and all-wheel drive.
