Petroleum Products Supply: MRPL Reiterates Its Willingness To Honor Its Commitments
Whatever the difficulties that arise, Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) will do its best to honor its commitments to Mauritius for supply of petroleum products in the country.

This commitment is obtained from the direction of MRPL by the State Trading Corporation.

President MRPL, Sudhir Vasudeva and other directors of the company, were recently in Mauritius under the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas 2012. It should be noted that Sudhir Vasudeva is also the chairman of the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation of India, which is a subsidiary MRPL.

Presence in Mauritius was also the opportunity to meet the leadership of the State Trading Corporation for sessions. The team also met with representatives of local oil companies and the Central Electricity Board, which is a major consumer of heavy oil. These meetings were used to review the country's supply of different types of fuels.

Because petroleum products are refined continuously by MRPL and there are specifics to meet the representatives of the company felt it was important to meet with customers to discuss. This also gave them the opportunity to provide STC rigor and quality products MRPL. Moreover, the contract between the Indian firm to STC provides a joint meeting every six months for a 'Review Operation'. The assurance given by MRPL is especially important as we approach the end of the year, a period in which demand is increasing fuel increased.

In addition, Red Eagle, from India, landed at Port-Louis last Friday, with nearly 63,000 metric tons of petroleum products on board. This represents a cargo higher than the normal quantity of about 60,000 metric tons. This cargo includes 7 922.561 metric tons of gasoline, 14 472.806 tonnes of diesel 50 PPM, 16 283.123 metric tons of Jet A1 fuel and 5 593.284 tonnes of diesel-2500 PPM. The next arrival of Red Eagle is scheduled between 23 and 24 November.

In normal times, petroleum products from MRPL, India, arriving every 22 days. However, it should be noted that in addition to these two cargoes for the month of November, an additional vessel carrying the 'black oil' is expected in Mauritius. It is currently full before joining Port Louis.
