Peugeot reveals SXC crossover concept for Shanghai
Much as it is for any other automaker, the Chinese market is a high priority for Peugeot. The French automaker is committed to rolling out a new product in the Asian nation every year, and as such, will be rolling in to the Shanghai Motor Show next week with the sexy concept you see here.

The SCX crossover concept wasn't just designed for Shanghai, it was designed in Shanghai as well, at Peugeot's local design studio. The shape bears the hallmarks of contemporary Lion-badged show cars but in a svelte crossover shape that's shorter in both length and height but wider than a BMW X6.

Drivetrain comes courtesy of Peugeot's HYbrid4 system, mating a 218-horsepower 1.6-liter turbodiesel four driving the front wheels to a 95hp electric motor at the back for through-the-road all-wheel-drive and a combined output of 313hp. The concept is joined at the Shanghai expo by the 508 sedan that will now be manufactured locally for the Chinese market.
