Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.8 With Only 6 Miles Sold For $2.25 Million
Earlier this month we reported on a very special Porsche 911 heading for RM Auction’s Villa Erba event.

That 911 happens to be an extremely rare 1993 911 Carrera RSR 3.8, of which just 51 examples were built. This one, however, has only six miles on its clock and it's all-original. It was kept in storage for years and that long term investment seems to have paid off because it was just sold for $2.25 million.

It's also just one of two 911 RSR 3.8s with a fully trimmed leather interior, with its first owner opting for Can Can Red, including the competition seats, headliner, upper and lower dashboard, steering column and steering wheel. Because it was also made for the track, features such as a bolt-in roll cage, six-point racing harness and huge disc brakes are included. Power comes courtesy of a 3.8-liter flat-six with 350 hp and 284 lb-ft of torque, with power going to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual. Zero to 100 km/h happens in 3.7 seconds. When we first wrote about this, RM Auctions didn't provide an estimated sale price, but we guessed in the "low seven-figures." We were close, but evidently it went for even bigger bank.
