Possible Strike at Service Stations March 24
Motorists are warned. The owners of service stations threaten to start a half-day strike Sunday, March 24. They close at 1:00 p.m. that day.

The possibility of a strike was discussed on Wednesday 6 March at a meeting of the Petrol Retailers Association (PRA), consisting of the owners of gas stations. Bernard de Senneville, spokesman for the PRA, lamented on Radio Plus the profit margin for retailers of petroleum products has not been revised upwards although there was a significant increase in fuel prices, Friday 1 st March.

The association demanded an urgent meeting with the Minister of Industry and Commerce, Cader Sayed Hossen, to discuss "several issues with him."

"We were promised that our profit margin would be reviewed. But we got nothing so far contrary to the State Trading Corporation (STC) and parent companies, "says Bernard de Senneville.
