"Samurai Of The Skies" 2020 Toyota Supra Is a Saburo Sakai Tribute
Heroes come in all shapes and sizes, and as far as war heroes are concerned, and the line between good and evil can be blurrier than a battlefield in the storm.

Of course, in the end, showing one's human side is one of the characteristics that defines a war hero and it seems this is what Japanese World War II fighter pilot Saburo Sakai did, with a tribute to the military man now being paid via the 2020 Toyota Supra we have here.

This Mk V Supra comes with a wrap that reminds us of the Japanese hero's air combat, as you can notice in one of the Instagram posts below.

Of course, this is only a partial wrap, yet the effect it achieves is quite significant - perhaps this is also some sort of reply to all the shark teeth wraps we've been seeing on performance machines from the US.

Returning to the Samurai Of The Skies, as Saburo Sakai is now known, the human side mentioned in the intro revolves around the events that happened once the fighting was over (more on his life story below).

And it seems like this is a man who knew how to shoot down the enemy planes even when outnumbered (think: 28 confirmed aerial victories, with damage caused to 60 allied planes), but he opposed the controversial kamikaze tactics his country eventually resorted to.

On top of that, he managed to reportedly establish a relationship to the Allied pilot who caused him to lose an eye in one of the aerial fights and became friends with many American officers.

Now, once you're done checking out this Supra (make sure to use the swipe feature of the Insta posts when this is available), you might want to head over to the YouTube video below, which brings you a more complete tale on Saburo Sakai's life.
