School Vans: Debate Erupts With NTA
ID cards as the National Transport Authority (NTA) requires accompanying school buses divided. With this new 'pass', the owner would be forced to use two escorts for each minibus which one will be approved, the other will be the substitute.

The Association proposes an amendment schools van due to this regulation. A meeting is scheduled for today with the NTA.

This regulation has raised controversy. After the recent problems which have been resolved around the photo requirement on the identity card of the attendant, it is now other concerns that arise. "We will be obliged to employ two people per van. One who will have the role of substitute must also be treated as any other employee and also earn a salary and his thirteenth month. We will have no choice but to raise our rates 15 to 20% at the expense of parents' fears Jungee Nazeer, president of the Van-secondary pathways.

"The NTA has never imposed an owner to use two coaches-buses," said Cyril Appajala for its part, Transport Controller to the NTA. "All they ask is that assistants also carry this identity card. The NTA does not feel relevant to the basis on which these coaches will be employed. What are employers to impose their conditions. The NTA does not interfere in the operation, "said the officer of the NTA. Appajala Cyril pointed out that the idea of ??the map was greater responsibility for this job, where these requirements "and the eligible person must be over 18 years, produce a certificate of morality and a medical certificate and a photo, ditto for replacement. The form must be signed by the owner of the school bus and one that applies for the card. "

The process of obtaining a certificate of morality take about a month. The deadline for submission of forms has been set for July 13. "The NTA will provide training sessions for these chaperones to ensure they become more professional. Child safety is our major concern, "said Cyril Appajala.

By August 20, the school minibus will always be in good standing with Article 34A of the Road Traffic Regulations Act dating from 1954. The minibus will imperatively have the assistance of an attendant who will be carrying an identity card of the National Transport Authority, if the owners will be fined Rs 10,000.
