Sniff Of Life For Old Pong Game?
A novel idea takes the pain of pausing out of crossing the road by allowing pedestrians to play Pong!

A device attached to the traffic light shows when it's safe/unsafe to cross. When the light turns red, a game of Pong pop-ups against opposing traffic lights.

Fancy a game?

This allows two players to have a few rounds of the classic video game while waiting to cross. A red screen denotes the time remaining until the light turns green and pedestrians can cross.

Pong, released in 1972, is one of the earliest video arcade games. Similar to tennis or air-hockey, players must use digital paddles to hit a ball across to the opponents edge of the screen.

It's a great social experiment and, who knows? - it might be rolled out across Germany.
