For Some Reason a Glow-In-The-Dark Nissan Leaf Exists
Really, and Nissan even released a video to prove it. We just know that you’ve been craving a Nissan Leaf that comes with glow-in-the-dark paint for years now.
There may have even been some sleepless nights waiting in anticipation. But you can finally relax because this type of paint actually exists. According to Auto Express, the paint, called STARPATH, was invented by a guy named Hamish Scott. It’s a spray-applied coat that’s capable of absorbing UV energy from the sun during the day. It’ll then be capable of glowing for between eight to ten hours at night.
The paint’s inventor claims that his formula consists of entirely organic materials as well as a rare earth product called Strontium Aluminate. Nissan hasn’t yet made the paint a factory option, but it does claim the glow will last for 25 years.
