But none of them - not even a single one - has the cojones to go head to head against what West Coast Customs did for a project meant to appear in a music video.
West Coast Customs is known for over-the-top (sometimes sublime) modifications, mainly popularized by Pimp My Ride - a popular albeit controversial show on MTV during the early 2000s. But despite the show already calling it quits, the California-based tuning outfit has continued its work, resulting in this monstrosity aptly called the "Deconstructed Urus."
Commissioned By The Rapper Young Thug
Rapper Jeffrey Lamar Williams II, also known as Young Thug, commissioned this Urus from West Coast Customs, which will be used for the music video for his hit Money on Money. Just like this modified Urus, Williams is known for his unconventional style and influence on hip-hop and trap music, including his standout choices in clothing that break the stereotypes of the genre.
Going back to the modifications on this Lamborghini Urus, we're not even sure where to start, so let's go with the most obvious: the missing doors, which were replaced by metal bars for that open-air feel a la dune buggy. Don't worry, those doors were not thrown away; they've been repurposed as some sort of wings on the tailgate, housing what we can only describe as a high-powered speaker setup not meant for human ears.
It's unclear how these changes affect interior space for second-row passengers, but there's certainly no space for the Gucci luggage.
And The Extreme Modifications Continue
The deconstructed theme continues with a cutout on the hood to expose the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine. Somewhat questionable, however, are the bare-metal overfenders on all four corners, which kind of exude a trashy, made-under-a-shed vibe to the otherwise bonkers build. Capping off the list of modifications are the bōsōzoku-themed quad tailpipes, the deleted wing mirrors, and badges replaced by Young Thug's logo.
As with most West Coast Customs creations, the company didn't reveal how much was paid for this unconventional work, but we're guessing that didn't matter much to the balling hip-hop artist. Hopefully, this will be the wildest Urus we'll ever see, because we're not sure how much more our eyes can take at this point.
